Honorary Professor, Department of Pharmacology.
I am passionate to develop simulation models for teaching biomedicine. I have developed Pharmacokinetic visualization platforms for students to visually appreciate the effect of PK variables on plasma concentration outcomes. This is supported by another interactive pharmacokinetic simulation platforms. More recently, my focus has been on the development of simulated patients empowered with a conversational interface.

I am a senior lecturer and Education Director for Nursing Curriculum and Digital Transformation in the Department of Pharmacology. I developed PharmaCASES, PharmaVIDEOS and PharmaGAMES and carry out the pedagogical research for the tools we employed in classes. During term breaks, I spend my time writing grants for the impossi-ideas to keep my creative juices active! In my free time, I do yoga and editing clips with my son, who aspires to be a film director.

After graduating from NUS with Honours in Life Science, I have been working on Virtual Integrated Patient since 2017. In addition, I developed the whole sets of interactive graphs in the websites known as "Pharmacology Tutorials" and "Pharmacokinetics Visualizers" since 2016. The websites are currently used as a complimentary tutorial tool to teach the medical and nursing students about the basic concepts of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics. During my free time, I exercise and practice yoga to keep an active lifestyle.

I am working with the education research team under Dr. Judy Sng. We are aiming to create a more interactive way that students can use our portal to increase effective knowledge acquisition. Outside of work, I can be on two polar opposites of a spectrum. I can be found either as a couch potato watching interesting historical documentaries or heading to an exercise class. I believe that my day isn't complete without a fulfilling workout session :)
